CTIPP Letter to Biden Administration re: Mental Health Crisis

By Jen Curt, CTIPP's Director of Government Affairs

In response to President Joe Biden’s national strategy to address mental health, trauma, and resilience, CTIPP recently sent the administration a letter praising their approach and encouraging them to emphasize prevention and further investment towards building community and individual resilience.

When it comes to the administration’s skills training strategy education on trauma and trauma-informed care, we also encouraged them to include understanding trauma, its prevalence, and its impact on one’s life and opportunity, as well as recognizing signs of trauma and tools on the individual and community level that support healing from, and resilience to, adversity, stress, and trauma.
