Call for Submissions: CTIPP's Free Advocacy Support for Trauma-Informed Legislation

Embedding trauma-informed principles in our policies and practices remains vital at this critical juncture in our nation's history. Yet, it is no secret that we have seen active pushback against trauma-informed public policy.

The widespread impact of trauma calls for a comprehensive response. Research indicates that 70% of U.S. adults have experienced at least one traumatic event, and 80.5% of adolescents have experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE). For some, these events are compounded by systemic and historical trauma, amplifying the burden.

The Campaign for Trauma-Informed Policy and Practice (CTIPP) is seeking advocates who are working to promote trauma-informed legislation and could benefit from our free outreach tool.

Using our advocacy software, we'll create an outreach campaign to connect with targeted legislators and policymakers through emails, phone calls, and social media posts, amplifying your efforts to make a difference. 

This service is completely FREE, and participating campaigns must align with CTIPP's vision and trauma-informed principles.

Ideal legislation should embody healing-centered, community-led, and trauma-informed approaches. These elements are interconnected and necessary for creating lasting, meaningful change. Healing-centered and trauma-informed approaches address immediate needs, while community-led approaches are essential for preventing, mitigating, and addressing root causes.

Once approved, our team will work with yours to co-create an outreach campaign with emails, phone scripts, and/or social media posts. We’ll also help you activate the campaign and encourage our local network members to participate with templates and copywriting.
